  • Can I use NDIS funding for Inspire Co services?
    Yes. Eligible clients can be fully funded to receive our Occupational Therapy services through Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living Skills. You will be invoiced for the service after your session.
  • How do I get started?
    See our Getting Started page for all our information about how to get started with us. If you still have questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
  • What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?
    Inspire Co requires 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled appointment. For appointments scheduled on a Monday, a notice of cancellation will need to be made on Saturday. If you cancel after this time, a late fee will be charged for non-attendance without notice. This fee will be outlined in your service agreement.
  • Is online therapy as effective as face-to-face therapy?
    At Inspire Co we use a specialized technique using video guidance. The way this is designed is proven to be effective via telehealth modality. Research by the World Health Organisation (WHO) shows that online therapy is just as effective as face-to-face therapy appointments. There are also the added benefits of: Accessing this specialized service, no matter where you are in the country. Saving on travel time and costs that usually come with a practitioner coming to you or you travelling to meet them.
  • I'm not great with technology - is that an issue?
    Not a problem! We've made the process simple. During the booking process we can answer any questions you may have and guide you through the process.
  • Does my child need to be present for the telehealth appointment?
    No. The age range of our services means our program is designed for you to be equipped with the tools to pass onto your child. Through the telehealth appointment we will use video to empower you with these skills that you will practice with your child between sessions.
  • When will I be invoiced for services?
    Privately paying consumers: Online payments are available through the booking process, or an invoice can be sent out. NDIS Participants: You or your plan manger will be invoiced after the service has been conducted.
  • No appointment session: How in the world does this video feedback thing work?
    We want our services to be as accessible as possible for families and this means being flexible in the delivery of how we support you. The nature of the guidance that Inspire Co provides, lends itself to little snippets of learning that is guided by video interaction of you and your little one. This means we have been able to 'think outside the box' about new ways of delivering services to those who want to make a difference in the lives of their children. As a parent, Melissa knows that between the myriad of commitments we have as parents and the unpredictable nature of our little ones and sleep times etc it can be difficult to commit to appointment times. We realize that sometimes it's easier to be able to record a moment on video with you and your little one and for Melissa to respond by recording her guidance as little information snippets (a bit like a recorded webinar that you can watch at your leisure). It also means that if you want to pause and re-watch a section, it's there for you to do as many times as you like (instead of having to take in every moment whilst you're have face-to-face session).
  • No appointment session: What if I have questions after I watch recorded guidance?
    Not a problem at all! If it's a quick clarifying question, just send an email. If you want some face-to-face interactive support, we can do that via a live session.
  • No appointment session: What sort of video clip do I need to record?
    To help me better understand your child's current interactions and how we can support their development, I'd like you to take a short 2-minute video of a typical moment where you're engaging with your child. The first video is helpful if you're just having a play with your child. It doesn’t have to be perfect! Just capture a moment that feels natural. Once you’ve recorded the video, you can share it with me. By reviewing the video, I’ll be able to see the way your child responds to certain cues and offer specific strategies to enhance their social and emotional growth through our Marte Meo approach.   • No appointment session: How do I share the video with you?
    There are several different ways that you can share your video clip with me. You can do it whichever way is easiest for you. Several options include: - Share the video through a program such as Dropbox or Whats App - Sharing a link from the video - Attaching the video to an email
  • No appointment session: Worried that your service won't be as personal if you choose the 'no-appointment needed' option?
    Each service is highly individualized that you will gain so much tailored personal information from the session whether it's a recorded session or a live video session. If you have any questions after the session, please feel free to reach out to me.
